What CheckHarbour provides
The free property permit search checks whether matching records are available for the address entered and may show the record count, date range, jurisdiction and broad work types before you pay or use a search credit.
When records exist, you may buy a one-off $9.99 USD Property Permit Report, or use CheckHarbour Professional search credits. Professional packs are currently $29 USD for 50 searches and $49 USD for 100 searches. The price shown immediately before checkout is the price charged.
Professional search credits are a one-off purchase. They do not expire, do not create a subscription and do not renew automatically.
How professional search credits work
A professional credit is used only when matching records are available and you choose to unlock the full report. The free record-availability check is shown first. If no matching permit records are returned, no professional credit is used.
Your remaining search-credit balance is associated with the purchase email address. CheckHarbour may issue a browser access token and reusable recovery code so you can restore professional access on another browser or device. Keep that recovery code secure and do not share it with anyone who should not be able to use your search credits.
What the report is not
The report is an informational public-record research product. It is not a title search, home inspection, appraisal, survey, engineering opinion, code-compliance certificate, legal advice, insurance report, environmental report or guarantee about a property's condition, safety, legality or value.
Permit data and coverage
Permit records vary by jurisdiction and can contain omissions, delays, inconsistent formatting and incomplete historical coverage. A missing permit record does not prove that work did not occur or that a permit was not required. A permit record does not prove that work was completed, passed final inspection or remains compliant today.
Important findings should be verified with the relevant issuing authority and any professional checks appropriate to your transaction or project.
Choosing the property
You are responsible for entering the correct property address. CheckHarbour rechecks or retrieves the property data used to prepare the requested report. If a valid but incorrect address is entered and the requested report has already been supplied, that alone does not automatically create a right to a refund or restoration of a used professional credit.
Payment and supply
Payments are processed by Stripe. CheckHarbour does not intentionally store full payment-card details.
For a $9.99 single report, after successful payment is confirmed the report is generated and delivered through a private link that is designed to expire after 30 days. The report can be printed or saved as a PDF.
For a professional search pack, after successful payment is confirmed the purchased credits are added to your professional access and a reusable recovery code is supplied. Each credit can then be used to unlock an eligible full report through the professional search experience.
Immediate digital supply
Checkout asks you to accept these Terms and request immediate digital supply. For a single report this means preparing the purchased report after payment. For a professional pack this means making the purchased search credits and account access available after payment. Consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
If something goes wrong
If payment succeeds but a purchased report or professional credit pack cannot be supplied, CheckHarbour will use reasonable efforts to make the purchase available without charging again. If a report fails after a professional credit has been reserved, CheckHarbour is designed not to retain that credit where fulfilment cannot be completed safely.
If a purchased product cannot be supplied, or a duplicate payment or material service failure occurs, contact admin@checkharbour.co.uk so the appropriate remedy can be considered, including restoration of a credit or a refund where appropriate.
Reasonable use
You may use a purchased report or professional search credits for lawful personal or business property research and may save or share a report with people involved in that decision. You must not misuse CheckHarbour to harass individuals, scrape or circumvent access controls, interfere with the service, resell account credentials, or present CheckHarbour data as an official conclusion of a permitting authority.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful. Subject to that, CheckHarbour is not responsible for losses caused solely by inaccurate, incomplete or unavailable third-party public records, or decisions made without appropriate independent verification.
Privacy
Our Privacy notice explains how information is used for searches, checkout, professional access, report delivery, analytics and service operation.
Changes and complaints
We may update these Terms for future purchases. The terms version accepted at checkout is recorded against the order. For questions or complaints, contact admin@checkharbour.co.uk.
